FitCheck prototype
A prototype case study built around testing a product idea.
FitCheck is a prototype. I am using the case study to make the work concrete enough to inspect, without presenting a prototype as a finished product.
I kept the write-up focused on what a prototype can show: the shape of an idea, the decisions behind it, and the limits of the record.

Problem
A prototype needs a clear question. FitCheck starts with the work of making a product idea concrete enough to inspect.
Observation
A prototype is useful when it makes an idea visible before anyone calls it finished. The surface has to communicate the question quickly enough for the work to be judged.
Personal action
I worked through FitCheck as a prototype and kept the public page close to the product idea, rather than adding a role, date, or result that the record does not support.
Constraints
FitCheck is presented as a prototype. This case study does not attach a metric or finished-product claim to it.
Result
The public prototype gives the product idea a concrete surface. Someone can understand what is being explored without mistaking exploration for proof.
Learning
Prototype scope is a feature. A smaller surface can answer the important question before extra detail makes the decision harder to see.
Change
I want to use prototypes earlier as a way to test the shape of an interaction, then keep the write-up honest about what the prototype can show.
